Supply Chain Analyst (12 Month FTC) - Up to £45,000 - Northampton
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm - Hybrid Working Available

Macildowie Supply Chain is delighted to have collaborated exclusively with a very well established and growing FMCG organisation that is looking at growing their supply chain team by partnering with Macildowie to recruit a Supply Chain Analyst.

The key objective is to hold a demonstrated Supply Chain / FMCG background and comfortably able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring complete visibility throughout the Supply Chain on budgeting, forecasting, planning, and performance.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver the Supply Chain objectives of the business strategy including supply planning, ordering and meeting the expected stock holding targets.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers to ensure orders are shipped correctly and timely to achieve continuity of supply of products always ensuring 99% stock availability.
  • Extracting data from systems such as Microsoft Business Central, building and producing compelling dashboards and reports using Excel whilst working with supply chain, sales, marketing and financial data ensuring that it is capable of visually directing the user towards key trends in conversions, performance, and ROI.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial team and Technical & Quality teams about product life cycle, regulatory requirements and introducing new products to market.
  • Tasked with measuring forecasted vs. actual sales as well as completing fortnightly S&OP reviews.
  • Monitoring and checking outstanding orders, ensuring all orders are updated and there are no overdue orders.
  • Track and manage supplier performance through regular reviews and act where necessary if the supplier fails to hit the outlined KPIs and OTIF brief.
  • Analyse trends and promotional volumes to make adjustments and recommendations where necessary.
  • Working with 3PL and Finance to deal with any delivery issues including damages, incorrect products, and payment related issues.


The Candidate

  • Previous experience operating as a Supply Chain Analyst / FMCG background or equivalent.
  • Comfortable with building relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Handling and manipulating large data sets.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Exposure to Business Central or SlimStock - Desirable
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to travel to Northampton.
