Job Description
Position: Sales & Customer Service Executive
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
Employment type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working arrangement: Hybrid (after probation, 3 a week on-site in Alfreton/Mansfield area, plus 2 days remote)
Hours: 8:30am-5pm Monday - Thursday, 8:30am-4pm Fridays (flexible, earlier start available upon request)
Macildowie are pleased to be partnered with a manufacturing firm that is going through some extremely positive changes moving into the latter stages of 2025. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients' customers, combining customer service skills with internal sales responsibilities. This is essentially an Accout Manager role. You'll handle day‑to‑day administration of customer accounts, process orders, provide progress updates, support CRM accuracy, and work closely with internal stakeholders such as production, quality, transport. This is more of an account management/sales support role than retail customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own administration and relationships of selected accounts
- Build rapport with existing customers
- Process customer orders quickly and to accuracy
- Provide after‑sales follow up and support
- Maintain CRM data integrity within internal sales team
- Progress leads to support external sales efforts
- Handle complaints and escalate issues as needed
Skills & experience:
- Experience in the manufacturing sector beneficial but not essential
- Strong communicator at all levels
- Previous experience in customer service or sales support (not retail customer service)
- Telephone confident and detail-oriented
- Able to prioritise and manage a varied workload
- Good MS Office skills, Excel or ERP experience (e.g. SAP) advantageous
- Full driving licence essential

Interview process: Two in‑person stages. Relaxed values-fit first, followed by competency‑based interview including complex account examples. Induction includes shop‑floor immersion and shadowing. After probation: hybrid working model with 2 days remote per week (post‑training/onboarding).
