09:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday
up to £70,000 (OTE circa £95,000)
Macildowie are working with a market leading business based in Birmingham to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business that is investing heavily in its sales function, with a clear focus on developing a best-in-class capability. You'll play a pivotal role in driving performance, coaching a talented team and embedding a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and commercial excellence.
The Role
Leading a team of sales professionals, you'll be responsible for delivering consistent sales performance through effective coaching, structured management and disciplined pipeline management.
You'll create an environment where salespeople thrive, ensuring every individual has the tools, support and direction needed to achieve ambitious targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Sales Executives
- Deliver regular coaching through call listening, side-by-side support and performance feedback
- Run structured daily and weekly sales meetings focused on accountability and results
- Conduct regular one-to-one reviews and performance development conversations
- Drive the conversion of inbound enquiries and outbound campaigns into new business opportunities
- Ensure pipeline health through accurate forecasting and opportunity management
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales Operations and wider commercial teams to maximise campaign effectiveness
- Monitor KPIs, sales activity and conversion rates to drive continuous improvement
- Embed best practice sales processes across the team
About You
You'll be an experienced Sales Manager with a proven track record of leading successful B2B inside sales or SME sales teams. You're passionate about developing people and understand how to create a high-performance culture built around coaching, accountability and measurable results.
You'll also bring:
- Experience managing sales or telesales teams
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- A track record of improving sales performance and achieving team targets
- Excellent pipeline management and forecasting experience
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- The ability to inspire, challenge and develop high-performing teams
