Job Description

My client a leading manufacturing organisation in Lichfield is looking to recruit an administrator to join their business on a permanent basis.

Duties include:

  • Ensure vehicle and driver paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring all email enquiries into the department are responded to in a timely manner
  • Organising store stock replenishments.
  • Good telephone manner when booking customer deliveries direct with customers.
  • Good phone manner whilst answering driver or department phone call queries.
  • Liaising with our other Home Delivery depot locations across the UK
  • Timely reporting & logging of customer feedback
  • Team player and a strong team ethic
  • Actively monitor driver and vehicle telemetries and cameras to ensure routed times are being met & no breaches are occurring when needed.
  • Assist with arranging servicing and repairs as required.
  • Responsible for department ordering/facilities.
  • Processing PCN's
  • Processing PO numbers for suppliers
  • Maintain and update all KPI and reporting via excel
  • To prepare vehicle route paperwork and customer notifications in line with daily processes
  • Maintain vehicle files
  • To provide effective support to the department management team to ensure constant improvement in all areas of the operation.
  • Processing of returns
  • To ensure H&S requirements are always maintained throughout the department and issues are raised with management when required.
  • Preparation and participation in team meetings and other meetings as required

The successful person will need the following:

  • Proven experience and competent with Microsoft office packages
  • Organised and strong attention to detail
  • Experience in transport office
  • Willingness to learn and support the team
  • Customer service experience
  • Competent using various IT systems
  • Results driven, focused on delivery and always looking to add value to the role
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication
  • A willingness to learn the role of a Transport Administrator and be flexible in the work done
  • Team player, willingness to supporting others
  • Pride yourself on attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines whilst prioritising workload
  • Positive outlook and behaviour
  • Highly resilient

This role is working Monday to Friday, office based and paying up to £28,000.
