Salary: From £28,000 per year
Employment type: Permanent, full-time (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, paid lunch break)

About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookings Administrator to join a waste‐management team in the environmental services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all bookings related to waste collection, disposal and recycling services. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and schedule bookings for waste collection, disposal and recycling services.
Ensure all bookings are accurately logged in the company's scheduling system.
Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Serve as the first point of contact for customers - handle enquiries, resolve booking-related issues, provide clear information on service availability, pricing and schedules.
Maintain accurate records of all bookings; generate reports on booking trends, service delivery and customer feedback as required.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to waste management.
Liaise with drivers, dispatchers and other team members to coordinate service routes and schedules. Notify customers of any changes or service delays in a timely manner.
Collaborate with sales and operations teams to optimise service offerings and address operational challenges.
Provide administrative support: assist with invoicing and billing processes related to bookings; manage email and phone enquiries; support the operations manager with other administrative tasks as needed.
Person Specification:

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable, with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
Experience of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word (to a basic level).
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Maths and English preferred).
