Job Description

The Senior Management Accountant role is critical to the company's success, combining financial expertise with a deep understanding of business operations. The position is based within their newly established Finance function, where you will take the lead in developing and implementing management reporting and control processes.

This is a hybrid role, requiring attendance at the Ruddington office in Nottingham on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, overseeing the Group's P&L and conducting detailed variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to understand their P&L, providing valuable insights for stakeholders across the business.
  • Analyse monthly actual costs against budgets and prior periods, identifying variance drivers and communicating these effectively to business groups.
  • Lead the implementation of a new consolidation system.
  • Act as the primary contact for auditors, preparing lead schedules, and ensuring a seamless audit process.
  • Innovate and enhance finance processes within the team, focusing on automation and control.
  • Support team members in creating an efficient and effective finance function.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses in line with business requirements.
  • Contribute to global initiatives aimed at improving business processes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
  • Experience in a group finance function.
  • Interest in both management and financial reporting.
  • Enthusiastic and positive, with the ability to lead by example.
  • Experience with consolidation system implementation is advantageous.
