Interim Group Reporting Analyst
Job Description
A fantastic opportunity to shape and lead the Group Reporting function for a growing business as they continue their upward trajectory. As the business enters a new phase of maturity, consolidated financial reporting is now essential to strengthen governance and provide high-quality insight to key stakeholders.
This role offers the perfect blend of commercial awareness and analytical thinking, combined with strong technical expertise in group-level reporting, consolidation, and financial planning. It's ideal for someone who thrives on building processes from the ground up and enjoys working in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
What you'll do:
- Lead the development and delivery of group-level monthly financial reporting, including consolidated P&L, balance sheet and cashflow.
- Assess existing reporting tools and make recommendations and improvements as required.
- Design and build scalable reporting templates and financial models using Excel or other suitable systems / tools.
- Create and manage a clear group reporting calendar and month-end close timetable.
- Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process, supporting scenario planning and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to embed standardised processes and improve reporting quality.
- Deliver clear, insightful performance commentary to senior stakeholders and support board reporting.
- Maintain strong financial governance and ensure audit readiness and compliance in line with UK GAAP/IFRS.
What you'll need:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or qualified by experience, with a strong background in group finance.
- Proven track record in financial consolidation, reporting and planning processes.
- Sound technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
- A commercial, solutions-focused mindset with strong analytical capability.
- Advanced Excel skills; savvy with various accounting systems.
- A hands-on, proactive approach with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A process-driven mindset with strong attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
