Macildowie are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading employer based on the outskirts of Nottingham.
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm, with the flexibility to work 2 days per week from home.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full end-to-end payroll process for both salaried and hourly-paid employees, whilst also playing a key role in improving payroll systems, processes, and controls. This is a hands-on role where your ability to lead improvements and spot inefficiencies will be valued and encouraged.
Key Responsibilities and Duties include:
Accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls
Managing all payroll changes, including new starters, leavers, and benefits
Overseeing monthly journals, reconciliations, and pension auto-enrolment
Responding to payroll queries and resolving disputes
Ensuring GDPR compliance and maintaining sensitive data securely
Supporting payroll-related audits and liaising with HR and Finance
Leading and developing the payroll team
Reviewing and improving payroll processes and procedures
Skills & Experience Required:
Extensive payroll experience is essential
Previous experience managing or supervising a payroll team
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and calculations
Experience dealing with payroll-related tax queries
Confident working in a changing, fast-paced environment
