Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in transactional finance who's ready to take the next step into a more involved management accounting role. You'll support through month-end processes and production of monthly management accounts, while supporting the wider finance team.
What you'll do
Support the month-end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
Help prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for internal stakeholders
Assist with cashflow forecasting, budget monitoring and VAT returns
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure costs and income are correctly recognised
Work closely with the finance team to support sales and purchase ledger functions
Provide financial insights to finance and non-finance stakeholders
Contribute to process improvements and support year-end audit preparation
What you'll need
AAT qualified or currently studying AAT, with the ambition to progress
OR part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) and actively working towards full qualification
Hands-on experience in a finance environment - preferably with some exposure to management accounts
Good working knowledge of accounting software and strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
Confident communicator, comfortable working across teams and functions
A proactive mindset and a willingness to develop within a values-driven organisation
Previous experience in healthcare or a people-focused service sector would be advantageous
