Job Description

Job Title: Financial Assistant
Location: Pinxton, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000
Type: Full Time, Temp to Perm

We are seeking a Financial Assistant to join a fast growing business in Pinxton. In this role, you will be responsible for working across both the purchase and sales ledgers, processing invoices, orders, credit notes, and performing various financial administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner.

You will play a key role in maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, processing payments, and providing support for the finance team during reporting and audit processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Raise purchase orders.
  • Create, process, and send invoices on time.
  • Handle invoicing queries.
  • Credit Control duties.
  • Conduct credit checks and set up new client accounts.
  • Process payments via BACS.
  • Reconcile bank statements daily.
  • Manage and issue petty cash.
  • Submit data for EU VAT fuel reclaims.
  • Ensure proper filing.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor and report on cash flow.
  • Support the annual audit.
  • Provide support for team members.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Finance Assistant
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Minimum GCSE in Maths at Grade C/Level 4 or higher
