Finance Manager
Job Description
Macildowie are working with a fantastic SME client based in Melton Mowbray to recruit a Finance Manager to support their dynamic and expanding operation in the services industry.
This is a permanent, role offering a competitive salary, hybrid working, and the opportunity to join a close-knit finance team committed to delivering accurate reporting and driving improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day financial operations: AP/AR, bank reconciliations, general ledger
- Preparing prepayments, accruals, journals, and reconciling the balance sheet
- Supporting management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
- Collaborating with the wider business including HR, suppliers, and service teams
- Supporting payroll and handling VAT returns and CIS submissions
- Ensuring compliance and offering cover across the finance function when needed
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong all-round accounting knowledge
- Experience using Sage (50 or 200) and confidence in Excel
- A detail-focused, organised, and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
