Job role - Payroll Administrator
Location - South Normanton (relocating in 2026)
Salary - £27,000 - £29,000
Type - Permanent, full-time, hybrid

Macildowie are working with a large business based in the North West of Nottinghamshire (who have a planned relocation in 2026); they are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their small Payroll team.

This role sits within a very well-established organisation in the wider manufacturing sector, supporting the processing of monthly payroll for approximately 1,000 employees. Reporting to the Payroll Services Manager, you'll play a key part in ensuring payroll accuracy, handling queries, and maintaining compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the preparation and processing of payroll for all UK employees.
  • Handling employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
  • Assisting with managing new starters, leavers, overtime, bonus, and statutory payments.
  • Support with administering pensions, HMRC submissions, and payroll documentation.
  • Ensuring accurate data maintenance and reporting at all times.

Requirements for the role:

  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and Excel skills (ideally to include formulas, pivot tables, and lookups).
  • Highly organised with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Experience working in an Payroll admin function.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on confidentiality and service.
