FP&A Analyst
Location: North Leicestershire Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
We're working with a high-profile, high growth business in the UK in the construction sector. Their finance function is evolving rapidly, with a focus on integration, process improvement, and delivering deeper business insight to drive performance.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join their FP&A team a highly visible function partnering with executives, the Board, and investors to shape strategic decision-making.
The Role
As an FP&A Analyst, you'll play a key role in analysing business performance, enhancing forecasting accuracy, and supporting strategic planning. Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will deliver high-quality analysis and insight on revenue, costs, margins, and working capital, while helping to drive the transition from historical reporting to forward-looking analytics and scenario planning.
You'll work closely with finance, commercial, and operational teams to ensure robust financial reporting, and you'll support initiatives to standardise and automate FP&A outputs including the rollout of Power BI reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with FP&A Managers to deliver insightful analysis on revenue (price, mix, and volume), Costs, margin, and working capital.
Support Group Investor Relations activity with relevant financial analysis.
Contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes with detailed revenue and cost modelling.
Conduct variance analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Support post-investment reviews and business case modelling.
Assist with the standardisation and automation of reporting across FP&A.
Collaborate across finance and operational teams to deliver meaningful insights.
Provide ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making.
About You:
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience in either practice or industry.
Proven financial modelling and analytical skills, with advanced Excel proficiency.
Experience in a listed company environment desirable.
Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of revenue drivers, costs, and market dynamics.
Highly detail-oriented, structured in approach, and deadline-driven.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with diverse teams.
Curious, proactive, and adaptable comfortable in a fast-changing environment.
