Accounts Payable Assistant - Non-Stock
Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £29,000 (Dependent on Experience)
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Office-based with hybrid working potential (up to 2 days WFH)
Macildowie are working with this client based in Wellingborough to recruit a Permanent Accounts Payable Assistant - Non-Stock to join their close-knit finance team.

Working for a well-established business with a strong national presence, you will play a key part in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, helping maintain excellent relationships across the business.
Please note: Due to the distribution centre's location, applicants must be able to drive as public transport links are limited.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process non-stock invoices and match to purchase orders
- Code invoices to correct ledger accounts
- Prepare and assist with weekly and ad-hoc payment runs
- Resolve supplier queries quickly and professionally
- Support internal departments to ensure invoices are authorised promptly
- Reconcile supplier statements regularly
- Contribute to the AP department's performance and KPIs
Who we're looking for:
- Someone with a willingness to learn and take ownership
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to ask questions
- Proficiency in Excel is desirable, but not essential
- Previous AP experience is a bonus, not a requirement
