Job Description

We are working with a large well-established organisation based in North Leicester to recruit a Group Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take their first move from a Top 10 accounting practice or for someone already in industry with a strong technical accounting and reporting background.


The role sits within a high-performing group finance function and offers excellent exposure to group reporting technical accounting and senior stakeholders across the business.


Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
Oversee half-year and year-end financial reporting processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Produce and review group consolidation workings including intercompany eliminations equity accounting and FX adjustments.
Review statutory accounts for group entities ensuring compliance with IFRS and group accounting policies.
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors coordinating audit requirements providing supporting documentation and responding to technical queries.
Develop maintain and update group accounting policies ensuring compliance with IFRS and consistent application across all divisions.
Provide technical accounting advice on complex areas such as acquisitions group restructures and other non-standard transactions.
Support the preparation of technical accounting papers and disclosures for significant or judgmental areas.
Assist with continuous improvement of group reporting processes controls and timelines.


About You
ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
Currently working in a Top 10 practice and looking to make your first move into industry or already in industry with strong group reporting or technical accounting experience.
Solid working knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage deadlines in a structured reporting environment.
Confident communicator comfortable liaising with auditors and senior internal stakeholders.
