Job Title: Interim Financial Accountant
Location: Leicester 5 days working on site required
Rate: £180-225 per day umbrella
Duration: Minimum 6 Months
Our client, a leading UK business, is urgently seeking an experienced finance professional to join their finance team on an interim basis.
This is an opportunity to step into a more traditional financial accounting role within a highly successful, large business with a specific focus on stock accounting integrity. The role is heavily centred around balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls ensuring accurate stock valuations and solid accounting processes.
You will be a key player in maintaining robust financial controls during a busy period, reporting to senior finance management and playing a pivotal part in month-end processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations related to stock.
- Post and review journal entries (debits / credits).
- Validate stock quantities and costings.
- Ensure accuracy of stock valuation.
- Conduct reconciliation checking and review.
- Provide financial control over the stock accounting processes.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Solid understanding of debits and credits.
- Demonstrated experience in balance sheet reconciliation.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- A keen accounting controls mindset.
- Experience within a larger/corporate finance team (this will not be suitable for someone with SME/smaller co. experience unfortunately)
Ideally:
- Exposure to SQL.
- Experience within a stock environment
