Financial Accountant
Location: Derby

Permanent | Hybrid (3 days on site)
An established and fast-paced FMCG manufacturing business is seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This role offers exposure to a large, multi-entity environment with a particular focus on complex cash flow reporting and core financial accounting responsibilities.
The Role
This position plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, while providing detailed cash flow forecasting and analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
- Preparation of financial statements in line with statutory and group requirements
- Complex cash flow forecasting, reporting and variance analysis
- Detailed balance sheet reconciliations and control
- Management of accruals, prepayments and journal postings
- Consolidation and group reporting submissions
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Strengthening financial controls and driving process improvements
- Supporting audit requirements and regulatory reporting
About You
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or finalist
- Strong technical financial accounting background
- Proven experience in complex cash flow management and reporting
- Experience within a large, fast-paced or manufacturing/FMCG environment
- High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
- Able to manage competing deadlines in a dynamic setting
