Contracts & Risk Manager

Location: Flexible hybrid working with the head office in Peterborough
Salary: £50,000-£60,000 depending on experience
Type: Full-time, permanent

The Opportunity

You'll take ownership of all contract management and risk-related activity across the business, as the organisation grows a dedicated expert is needed to:

  • Lead the review, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients and sub-consultants
  • Standardise and improve internal contract processes across all studios
  • Act as the go-to expert for contractual and legal queries, reducing reliance on external advisors
  • Build and embed basic risk management frameworks, such as risk registers and business continuity plans
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations
  • Report to the Board on emerging risks and contract trends, offering insight and advice

You'll report to a Board-level Head of People & Culture, working closely with the Managing Director and other senior leaders across the business.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in commercial contract management who's excited to create structure in a flexible, non-corporate environment. You'll need to be confident working independently, advising others, and bringing clarity to complex issues.

Essential experience:

  • Experience reviewing, negotiating and managing commercial or consultancy contracts
  • An understanding of contract law and its practical implications
  • Awareness of risk management practices (e.g. business continuity, compliance)
  • Strong organisational skills and autonomous working style
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills - able to influence and advise with confidence and care
