Job Description
Macildowie are working with this client based in Melton Mowbray (Leicestershire) who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic HR Advisor on a permanent basis.
The role is 32 hours per week, working 4 or 5 days, Monday to Friday (09:0017:30) in a hybrid/office-based arrangement (some time on-site supporting the business).

This is within the hospitality & leisure industry where you will join a team of 550+ people across 25 departments. You will act as a proactive, hands-on HR business partner to Heads of Department and employees, providing advice and support across retention, conduct, performance, wellbeing and people-matters aligned to best practice and employment law.
Key responsibilities include
- Building strong working relationships with HODs and teams to identify issues/trends within the business.
- Managing an HR caseload: investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, ensuring timely progression in line with HR policy.
- Contributing to HR policy and procedure development and supporting change/innovation.
- Overseeing onboarding, supporting apprenticeships, and assisting with recruitment when needed.
- Providing day-to-day transactional HR support: new starter documentation, system queries, data reporting and analysis via HRIS.
- Creating and analysing HR reports, troubleshooting basic system errors, and contributing to social media content to attract candidates and engage employees.
- Planning and administering staff social-events and supporting strong employee relations culture.
The candidate
- The ideal candidate will have a friendly, professional approach and a genuine passion for working with people.
- You will be ready to hit the ground running and bring fresh ideas, balanced with proven HR experience and knowledge.
- You'll be comfortable interpreting HR data and translating it into actionable initiatives and long-term change. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills are essential, as is attention to detail in all communications and documentation.
- You will also have experience working with an HRIS and maximising its potential, preferably hold CIPD Level5, and have previous experience in hospitality is advantageous but not essential.
