Job Description
Role: HR Advisor (Employee Relations) Location: Leicestershire Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (reduced hours may be considered)
Rate: £31,000 - £32,000 (Equivalent to £16 - £17 an hour)
Contract: Initially 1 month (likely to extend to 3 months), with potential for permanent placement Interview process: First stage interview to happen asap, looking for an immediate start
Purpose of Role:
An exciting opportunity has come up for an experienced interim HR Advisor to join an established organisation in Leicester. Reporting into the HR manager, the key focus of the role is to provide expert HR advice, coaching and support to managers on employee relations (ER) matters ensuring cases are managed in line with policy, legislation, and best practice. The role will focus on delivering a high-quality employee relations advisory service that meets the organisation's needs and supports corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the key contact for queries on ER matters offering professional advice whilst maintaining policy, legislation and best practice.
- Assist managers with ER meetings and casework, including informal resolution and formal processes from investigation through to hearing and appeal.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the HR services and external agencies as required.
- Lead annual HR processes and contribute to project work as needed.
- Produce and analyse data, providing reports and trend analysis to enable proactive performance management.
- Ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and all relevant legislation, promoting dignity, respect, and equality of opportunity.
Required experience:
- Experience in ER case management.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively.
- Resilient and solution-focused approach.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Level 5 CIPD (essential).
Desirable:
- Experience in change management and unionised environments would be advantageous although not essential.
