Macildowie are working with this client based in Ibstock, Leicestershire to recruit a People Administrator on a temporary basis, with an immediate start available.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR or People Administrator who is comfortable working at pace and enjoys being at the heart of a busy People function.

Working within an established, multi-site organisation in the building products and manufacturing sector, you'll provide essential administration across the full employee lifecycle. It's a role where accuracy really matters – you'll be dealing with contracts, employee changes, HR systems and payroll-related information that directly impacts employees across the business.

The role is heavily focused on core HR administration, so we're looking for somebody who enjoys getting the detail right, managing a busy workload and becoming a dependable pair of hands within the team.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing employee lifecycle administration from onboarding through to offboarding
  • Preparing contracts, contractual amendments and employment change documentation
  • Processing payroll-related employee changes accurately and on time
  • Supporting maternity, paternity and other family leave administration
  • Managing probation review administration
  • Processing long-service, recognition and holiday-related changes
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR system data
  • Carrying out Right to Work checks and ensuring relevant documentation is compliant
  • Monitoring the People/HR inbox and responding to first-line queries
  • Providing guidance to managers on established HR policies and processes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve or automate administrative processes
  • Supporting the wider People team with general HR administration

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have previous experience as an HR Administrator, People Administrator or HR Coordinator, with confidence managing high volumes of employee changes and documentation.

You'll also bring:

  • Good understanding of the employee lifecycle and core HR processes
  • Previous experience using an HR system
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Confidence communicating with managers and employees
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to work independently
  • CIPD Level 3 would be advantageous but isn't essential

If you're an experienced HR Administrator, immediately available who can hit the ground running, we'd be keen to speak with you.
