Job Description

Finance Business Partner (Development)
Housing Sector - Remote with Occasional Office Travel from Midlands

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + Benefits

An established and forward-thinking housing provider is looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to take a lead role in supporting their ambitious development programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing finance team and make a meaningful impact on the delivery of affordable homes.

The Role

As Finance Business Partner (Development), you'll take ownership of all financial aspects of the organisation's development activity - from budgeting and forecasting to reporting and regulatory compliance. Acting as a key liaison between finance and the development team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate, timely financial information is used to support informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monthly monitoring and reporting of development expenditure, KPIs and cashflows
  • Maintaining and improving development appraisals using Sequel and Proval
  • Preparing claims for social housing grant (SHG) and ensuring audit-ready records
  • Supporting year-end and regulatory reporting, including RCGF
  • Working closely with treasury and business planning to maintain financial forecasts
  • Producing insightful reports for the senior leadership team and board

The Candidate

We're looking for a qualified accountant with strong experience in development finance, ideally within the housing sector. You'll be confident working with systems such as BRIXX, Sequel and Proval, and bring advanced Excel skills to the table-particularly in modelling and reporting. A background in preparing grant claims, supporting securitisation, and working across finance and operational teams will be key.

You'll also be a clear communicator with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders, always looking to improve processes and add value.

What's on Offer

  • Salary £55,000 - £60,000
  • Remote-based working with flexible arrangements
  • A supportive, values-led culture
  • The chance to shape how finance supports development delivery
