Macildowie's public sector team are delighted to be working in partnership with North Kesteven District Council to recruit a new Property, a key senior appointment that is central to delivering the councils housing and property operations and strategy.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housing, this role combines operational leadership with hands-on oversight of day-to-day operations within a values-driven local authority.
About the role
As Head of Property, you will:
- Lead the major capital and revenue investment programmes - shaping the future of housing and property services within North Kesteven
- Be responsible for ensuring homes are safe, compliant, sustainable, and truly meet the needs of tenants
- Drive contractor performance - delivering high-quality services with commercial rigour and value for money
- Inspire multidisciplinary teams, influence senior leaders and councillors, and deliver services that genuinely improve people's lives across the district
About you
You'll be a experience construction or property professional bringing;
- Deep knowledge of social housing legislation, compliance, and sector best practice
- Strong track record of managing budgets, controlling resources, overseeing procurement, and driving contractor performance and value for money
- Confident operating at senior level within local government or the public sector - able to influence stakeholders and design services around customer needs
- Passionate about developing people and motivating your teams
