Internal Sales & Customer Service Advisor
Ipswich, office based
Up to £35,000
Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:30
Macildowie are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Internal Sales & Customer Service Advisor to join a growing, dynamic business in Ipswich. This is a key role where you will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring enquiries and orders are handled efficiently while providing an outstanding service experience and upselling and being proactive when required.
The Role:
You will work closely with internal teams to coordinate orders, resolve issues, and deliver an excellent service that strengthens customer relationships. You will be responsible for handling customer communications, processing orders accurately, preparing quotations, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to incoming calls and emails, delivering professional support and timely follow-up.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance loyalty and service levels.
- Manage orders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure products are delivered on time.
- Prepare quotations and maintain accurate records in the CRM and order processing systems.
- Monitor and follow up on orders, ensuring any issues are communicated proactively.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and adhere to company Quality, Health & Safety policies.
About You:
- Strong communication and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience working in a customer service or internal sales role, ideally coordinating orders across internal teams.
- Comfortable using CRM and ERP systems; experience with Intact is desirable but not essential.
- Able to read customer drawings and job cards, and understand technical product details (hose kits experience is advantageous).
- Problem-solving mindset and a collaborative team player.
- Previous experience in the Fluid Power industry is preferred but not essential.
