Senior Client Account Manager

Term: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire - Office-based / Hybrid (flexible)

Salary: £50,000 + 15% performance-related bonus

Join a leading specialist in logistics, where you will lead a team of 3-4 Account Managers in a critical order-to-cash / service delivery / commercial function. You will be the escalation point, own client rate reviews and contract renewals, and ensure the smooth operation of client relationships, all with exposure to senior leadership and the chance to shape the client function.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of full-service, full-ordered cash clients (100+), ensuring contract reviews and renewals on a 3-year cycle
  • Lead, mentor and develop your team; conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and manage resourcing
  • Serve as point of escalation for client issues, ensure consistent service delivery across your team
  • Drive commercial growth via rate reviews, inflationary uplifts and new opportunities
  • Allocate client accounts, onboarding new clients, and ensure continuity during staff absence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Care, Finance, Contract Management
  • Report and present to senior leadership / executive team on performance, risk, and strategic direction

What we're looking for:

  • ESSENTIAL: Background in logistics, supply chain, or service delivery (healthcare sector is a strong advantage)
  • Proven experience in a team lead / senior client account / commercial management role
  • Strong commercial acumen: comfortable navigating challenging conversations with clients
  • Experience in rate review cycles, contract renewal process, P&L responsibility or financial metrics
  • A leadership style that is supportive, decisive, and able to manage escalations
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, resilience, and business awareness
