Internal Sales Executive
£28,000 - £31,000 | Full-Time | Permanent | Office-Based
Location: Birtley, Gateshead
Macildowie are working with this growing client based in Birtley, Gateshead to recruit an Internal Sales Executive to join a thriving and fast-paced industrial services business.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sales administration or internal sales, OR with a background in hydraulics, fittings, or similar industrial products (both would be great). Working from their busy Birtley site, you'll play a key part in ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently while offering high levels of service and building long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
Process customer orders and prepare accurate quotations, sales orders, and related documentation
Liaise with customers to confirm product specifications, pricing, and delivery timelines
Maintain up-to-date sales databases, pricing lists, and customer records
Work closely with warehouse and production to ensure timely fulfillment
Support the sales team with reporting and sales forecasts
Monitor stock levels and assist with supplier communications
Handle inbound customer inquiries and provide technical support where possible
What we're looking for:
Previous experience in internal sales, sales administration, or a customer-focused B2B environment
Knowledge of hydraulic products or industrial components (or a willingness to learn quickly)
Strong organisational and time management skills
Confident communication abilities with attention to detail
A proactive mindset with a desire to grow and develop
