Macildowie
are working with a highly regarded specialist professional services advisory business to recruit a full-time, permanent Head of Sales.

This is a genuinely high-impact leadership opportunity for a commercially driven ‘Player-Manager’ who understands how to grow revenue through trusted professional services relationships, referral ecosystems and strategic partnerships.

The business operates nationally and has built an outstanding reputation for delivering specialist advisory solutions to UK businesses through a relationship-led, quality-first model. With significant investment and ambitious growth plans in place, they are now looking to appoint a senior commercial leader to scale their partner channel strategy.

This attractive role offers the opportunity to inherit an established network, existing revenue streams and a strong market reputation, while shaping the future commercial direction of the business.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will take ownership of one of the organisations most important growth agendas.

You will lead the development of a national accountancy referral network, strengthen strategic introducer relationships and expand new commercial channels across the wider professional services landscape.

Alongside driving revenue growth, you will also help build a more structured, scalable and high-performing sales operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and grow an established accountancy and professional services referral network
  • Develop senior-level relationships with Partners, Directors and key stakeholders across accountancy and advisory firms
  • Increase referral activity, engagement and commercial performance across existing partnerships
  • Identify and develop new strategic distribution channels including legal, corporate finance and advisory networks
  • Drive pipeline growth, forecasting accuracy and commercial reporting capability
  • Introduce scalable sales processes, KPI frameworks and operating structure
  • Coach, develop and lead an existing sales team
  • Collaborate closely with senior technical stakeholders and marketing teams to support growth initiatives and market visibility
  • Lead high-value commercial conversations and strategic opportunities

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to join a business at a particularly exciting stage of growth and evolution. You’ll be joining an organisation with:

  • Hybrid flexibility with a practical, adult approach to working and multiple offices across the UK (you can visit any of them as you please)
  • A benefits package that beats the competition on the market!
  • An established national referral network already generating significant opportunity
  • Strong market reputation and technical credibility
  • A collaborative, low-hierarchy culture with direct access to decision makers
  • Genuine autonomy and influence over commercial strategy
  • Existing sales capability to build upon and develop
  • Significant untapped growth potential across strategic partnerships and channels

What We’re Looking For

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate experience within professional services environments where relationship-led sales and partner engagement are critical.

Successful candidates are likely to have experience within areas such as:

  • Professional services
  • Tax or accountancy
  • Financial or business advisory
  • Legal or corporate finance environments
  • Referral or intermediary-led sales models

You will ideally bring:

  • Proven experience leading sales or commercial functions within a professional services environment
  • Strong experience developing referral, intermediary or channel-based partnerships
  • Credibility engaging senior stakeholders and Partner-level decision makers
  • Experience building commercial structure, sales processes and KPI frameworks
  • Strong pipeline management and forecasting capability

For the right individual, this role offers the opportunity to build a long-term commercial function and play a key role in shaping future growth. Please get in touch for a confidential discussion.
