Using LinkedIn to Recruit For Free

This week, Macildowie hosted another insightful LinkedIn, Recruit for Free workshop with some of the employees at Confetti Media in Nottingham.

Yes that’s right, we can help you recruit for free! As companies continue to have an appetite to improve their direct sourcing model, we are sharing our expertise on attracting talent to help you do it yourself.



As a fairly new employee to Macildowie this was my first workshop of this kind and if I’m completely honest, I was a little hesitant. I was unsure what I could we possibly learn that would change what I already knew about LinkedIn and other social media platforms… Well, how wrong was I! 

Our LinkedIn Guru, Greg Statham led the session showing us the power of the employee voice on social media and the importance of working together as colleagues to share the true picture of what it’s like to work at your organisation. Yes, candidates want to see success stories, promotions and charity bake sales! 



Greg demonstrated how to search for and successfully find candidates that could be right for upcoming vacancies, and how to best approach these potential candidates. He then went on to wow us with how small changes to your activity on LinkedIn can increase the views and clicks on your personal and company profile, increasing interest in your organisation and promoting your personal brand. 

An invaluable session where even I - a recruitment consultant who uses LinkedIn everyday - took away some fantastic hints and tips! 



With the candidate market becoming increasingly competitive - as an organisation you need to do what you can, to stand out as the employer of choice!
