    Qualifications:

    To excel in this role, we're looking for someone with:

    • Robust experience in purchase ledger, with additional exposure to Dutch, American, German, and UK markets being highly desirable
    • A proactive approach, aiming to take ownership of the role and foster relationships with contractors and client handlers
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly in working with Pivot tables and VLOOKUP's
    • Familiarity with NetSuite Accounts software (preferred, but not mandatory)
    • Experience in multi-currency accounting (desirable)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Key Responsibilities:

    Team Leadership:

    • Supervise a team of 2 UK Credit controllers.

    • Handle holiday requests and manage returns for sick/emergency leave.

    Sales Ledger Management:

    • Compile team cash receipts forecasts and provide summaries to the Credit Manager.

    Legal Recovery:

    • Escalate debts to third-party collection agents post dunning process completion.
    • Complete collection files, monitoring progress, and providing monthly updates.
    • Ensure compliance with all legal recovery procedures.

    International Collaboration:

    • Provide ad hoc support to the Germany Credit Controller.
    • Offer holiday cover when required.

    Measurement of Effectiveness:

    Credit Control:

    • Ensure the smooth running and supervision of the UK Credit Control department.
    • Maintain a minimized aged debt for UK subsidiaries.

    Credit Risk:

    Reporting:

    Personal Specification:

    Essential Experience:

    • Previous experience as a Senior Credit Control/Credit Control Supervisor.
    • Experience in a multi-site and currency organisation.
    • Proficient in preparing and reviewing AR month-end reports.
    • Knowledge of monthly provisions.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

    This business has exciting plans for expansion both in the UK and internationally and has just had a stellar year operationally and financially.


    This role is a brilliant opportunity for a Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE candidate to get involved in preparing management accounts and monthly reporting.


    Some of the responsibilities include:

    • Perform weekly and month end bank reconciliations.
    • Prepare and post all month end journals: including accruals, prepayments, fixed assets etc.
    • Preparation of reporting packs for management accounts including results commentary, analysis and budget variances to present to the finance team.
    • Assistance with budgets/forecasts
    • Overheads management including renewals & queries


    You will be/have:

    • Part qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA or QBE
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Would consider first move to industry from practice

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate control over the Sales and Purchase Ledger, overseeing weekly sales forecast reports and the consolidated sales pipeline. Ensure all records reconcile correctly to prevent errors in sales forecasting for senior management.
    • Collaborate closely with the Client Services team to capture sales movements promptly and address finance-related sales queries. Ensure invoices are correctly processed with necessary approvals and uploaded promptly. Proactively manage cash flow by monitoring and chasing accrued and current month sales.
    • Manage credit control for the Sales Ledger, promptly addressing overdue invoices with clients to minimize cash receipt delays. Conduct regular meetings to address overdue debts and ensure compliance with bank reconciliation requirements.
    • Set up and manage client accounts, conduct credit checks, and communicate any issues to relevant teams. Foster strong relationships across departments and support KPI reporting for various teams within Finance.
    • Meet internal deadlines set by the Financial Controller, including month-end tasks, VAT reporting, and updating weekly sales forecasts.
    • Review nominal codes for accuracy, educate internal teams on correct processes, and ensure timely upload of invoices to maximize available cash.
    • Stay updated on VAT and tax regulations, select appropriate VAT codes for sales invoicing, and review overheads for accurate reflection in financial reporting.

    To be successful in this role you will have/be:

    • Experience working with management accounts
    • Experience working on finance ERP software
    • Possess a positive can do attitude
    • Work well as an individual or with little oversight
