Location: Derby
Salary: Up to £27,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

A Derby-based commercial property consultancy recruiting a Property Administrator to support our Property Asset Management team. This is a hands-on administrative role supporting the Head of Property Management and an Associate Director in the day-to-day operation of diverse commercial property portfolios. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous property or facilities experience, or a strong administrative background who is keen to develop a career within commercial property.
Working arrangements
- Office-based during the initial training period
- The company offers up to two working-from-home days, however this role is encouraged to be predominantly office based due to its administrative and team-support focus
Key Responsibilities Supporting the surveyors in the effective management of commercial property portfolios, including (but not limited to):
- Chasing rent arrears and ensuring tenant accounts are up to date
- Assisting with the arrangement of repairs and maintenance works
- Liaising with contractors, engineers, and facilities providers
- Managing compliance requirements and assisting with statutory checks
- Arranging property inspections and attending site visits when required
- Acting as a point of contact for tenant and client queries and filtering these to the surveyor
- Dealing with utility companies and service providers
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date property records and databases
- Answering telephone calls and managing general correspondence
- Providing wider administrative support to the office and property team
Skills and Experience Essential:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive and efficient approach to workload management
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Comfortable dealing with tenants, clients, and contractors
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Previous experience in property administration, property management or facilities management
- Experience handling compliance documentation or contractor coordination
- Knowledge of commercial property environments
