Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
Contract: 1 Year contract
Macildowie are you an experienced and dynamic Events professional with a flair for organisation, creativity, and collaboration? We're looking for an Events Manager to take ownership of a UK events programme from strategy and planning through to seamless delivery.
In this role, you'll be at the heart of shaping engaging, memorable experiences for our people and stakeholders across the business. You'll partner with senior leaders, manage external suppliers, and deliver high-quality events that reflect the company values and ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
Event Strategy & Planning
Create, maintain and implement an annual events plan.
Partner with key stakeholders, including the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, to identify event objectives and develop creative, tailored solutions.
Provide expert advice and hands-on support to leaders organising local events.
Collaborate on group-wide events across the UK.
Event Delivery & Logistics
Plan and coordinate large-scale internal events, such as the People Leaders Conference and other group-wide initiatives.
Conduct site visits to ensure venues meet event needs, including safety, wellbeing and sustainability.
Manage all event logistics from invitations and RSVPs to attendee lists, materials, and on-site coordination.
Provide on-the-ground support during events to ensure smooth execution.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Work with Procurement to ensure best value and quality across all third-party engagements.
Manage vendor relationships, budgets and cost control, ensuring high standards and financial accountability.
Skills & Experience
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing abilities, confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
Self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to lead projects independently.
Creative problem-solver with a proactive and adaptable approach.
Confident negotiator with experience managing suppliers and budgets.
Advanced PowerPoint skills, capable of producing high-quality presentations.
Willingness to travel and occasionally stay away for large events.
Proven experience in event management and coordination, both internally and externally.
