Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Arrangement: Fully Office-Based

Macildowie are working with this client based in Leicester.

A leading manufacturer in Leicester is seeking a dedicated Payroll Officer to manage their internal payroll function. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for approximately 280 employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process end-to-end monthly payroll using Sage Payroll and integrated Time & Attendance systems.
  • Administer starters, leavers, and contractual changes.
  • Manage statutory payments and ensure PAYE/NIC
  • Calculate holiday pay, overtime, bonuses, and ad-hoc
  • Produce payroll reports for Finance and HR.
  • Administer pension contributions and auto-enrolment duties.
  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll queries.
  • Liaise with HMRC and external bodies as necessary.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and confidentiality at all times.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in running full end-to-end payroll in-house.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll and Time & Attendance systems.
  • Up-to-date understanding of payroll legislation, RTI, and statutory payments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently in a standalone payroll capacity.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment is advantageous.
