Macildowie is pleased to be working with a respected legal and professional services firm based in Alfreton, to recruit a Legal Cashier on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities:
- Daily banking and reconciliation of both client and office accounts
- Processing all incoming and outgoing payments including BACS, CHAPS, and cheque transactions
- Managing petty cash, issuing receipts, and maintaining complete and accurate audit trails
- Liaising with banking providers and cash transit services
- Ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR)
- Updating and maintaining financial records using the firm's finance system
- Supporting month-end reporting and preparation for audits
What We're Looking For:
- Prior experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar finance role within a professional services environment
- Familiarity with legal finance systems such as SOS, Leap, or similar software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including use of formulas and reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Organised, methodical, and proactive approach to workload management
This is a fully onsite position based in Alfreton, offering a competitive salary negotiable dependant on experience.
