Finance Assistant | Part Time | Melton Mowbray | Up To £15ph

I'm recruiting on behalf of an exciting new client based in Melton Mowbray, who are looking for a confident Part-Time Finance Assistant to join their small, supportive team on a temporary basis.

This role has been created to provide additional support to the current part-time Finance Assistant during a busy period. The ideal candidate will be confident handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and using Sage. Any experience with payroll would be a real advantage.

Key Details:

  • Office-based in Melton Mowbray
  • Flexible working pattern: 3 full days or 5 half days per week
  • Standard office hours: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm
  • Up to £15 per hour, depending on experience
  • 4 to 6 month temporary contract
  • Genuine potential for extension or a permanent role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and posting purchase and sales invoices
  • Daily and monthly bank postings and reconciliations
  • Reconciling sales invoices between Simpro and Sage
  • Supporting VAT and CIS reporting
  • Assisting with stock entries and month-end support
  • Supporting payroll tasks for small workforce
  • Managing supplier queries and credit control
  • General finance admin and cover during staff absence

What We're Looking For:

  • Confident with AP, AR, credit control, and Sage
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proactive, adaptable, and reliable
  • Payroll experience would be beneficial but not essential
