Job Description

Macildowie are working with this client based in Wigston, Leicestershire
to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive finance team.

Salary & Benefits

  • £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

  • On-site parking

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for visitors, reception, and switchboard

  • Manage incoming and outgoing post and general administration

  • Book in goods return notes and match to purchase invoices

  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices and statements

  • Arrange supplier payments and perform daily bank reconciliations

  • Prepare schedules and journals for prepayments, provisions, and accruals

  • Assist with month-end reporting and journal entries

  • Collate, code, and reconcile expenses and credit card payments

  • Support the Finance Manager with reports, spreadsheets, and presentations

Skills & Experience

    • At least 2 years' experience working in finance and administration roles

    • AAT studier or experienced accounts professional (QBE)

    • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge, including VLOOKUPs and PivotTables; Sage experience an advantage

    • Excellent numerical ability with strong attention to detail and accuracy

    • Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage own workload effectively

    • Confident communicator with a professional and friendly approach

    • Proactive team player who can also work independently and maintain confidentiality
