Are you ready to take charge of a high-performing finance operations team handling millions in daily transactions? We're looking for a Finance Operations Team Leader - Payments & Reconciliations to oversee complex, high-volume banking operations and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, growing business.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy finance operations team, managing payment processing and reconciliations across multiple bank accounts. You will lead a small, focused team to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency, while identifying opportunities to enhance processes.
Please note: This role is fully office-based at the company's Leicester head office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and reconciliations
Maintain integrity of cash books, reconciling to the general ledger
Approve and process Bacs, Faster Payments, and high-value transactions
Manage month-end reconciliations and support continuous improvement initiatives
Act as the key point of contact for stakeholders, resolving queries and escalations
About You
Proven experience in finance operations, banking, or treasury, ideally in a high-volume environment
Strong analytical and numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail
A confident team leader with excellent communication skills
Intermediate Excel proficiency and experience with multi-currency transactions
