Management Accountant

Macildowie are working with a client based in Oakham to recruit for a Management Accountant to join their growing finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and friendly team within a well-established, family-owned business operating in the retail and leisure industry.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Office-based, Monday to Friday

You'll be reporting directly to the Finance Manager, playing a key role in supporting the business with monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasting, reconciliations, variance analysis, and general financial administration. You'll also have responsibility for line managing two purchase ledger clerks and supporting payroll during periods of leave.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management reports and variance analysis
• Support cash flow forecasting and financial analysis
• Maintain schedules for accruals, pre-payments, fixed assets
• Carry out ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and invoice processing
• Act as a first point of contact for financial queries across the business
• Support audit processes and provide cover for payroll admin

What We're Looking For:

• AAT qualified with a sound grasp of core accounting principles
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently
• Desirable: Xero experience, or studying towards ACCA/CIMA

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based onsite at their Oakham location. You'll benefit from a collaborative team culture, on-site parking, and study support if required.
