Job Description
Are you looking for a new Assistant Accountant role with a focus on month-end processes? Join our clients finance team and play a crucial role in managing ledgers, cost control, and supporting key financial processes for a fast-paced manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in month-end close, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
Process supplier invoices and manage both purchase and sales ledgers.
Allocate cash payments and receipts efficiently.
Reconcile and report monthly sales ledger recharges for "Other Income."
Prepare spend reports for budget holder reviews and support cost control efforts.
Handle supplier and customer queries in a timely manner, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues.
Manage the preparation and distribution of customer statements and Proof of Delivery (POD) requests.
Support the annual audit process with accurate backup for ledgers.
Process expense claims, credit cards, and manage petty cash.
Qualifications & Skills:
Part-qualified AAT or recent graduate.
Experience with purchase and sales ledger management, and month-end processes.
Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with ERP systems (Unity preferred).
