Job Description
Macildowie are working with this client based in Crick, Northamptonshire, who are seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices accurately, ensuring correct coding, approvals, and documentation.
- Match invoices against receipts and purchase orders to confirm goods/services have been received.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and manage timely supplier payments, maintaining accurate payment logs.
- Support month-end close activities including accruals, journal postings, and reconciliations.
- Maintain up-to-date records of invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment queries.
- Assist with process improvements and contribute to ad-hoc projects as required.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience within an accounts payable or accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP/finance systems.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in processing and data entry.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently whilst also contributing to a collaborative team environment.
