Job Description

Finance/Property Accounts Assistant
Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week (9:00-17:30, 1-hour lunch)
On-site | Competitive Salary + Benefits

We are recruiting a Finance/Property Accounts Assistant to join a busy and supportive team within a well-established property organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workload, has excellent attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

👉 Applicants MUST have previous property experience (property finance, property management accounts or property administration). Unfortunately, candidates without relevant property experience cannot be considered.


About the Role

You'll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations, supporting tenants, clients and suppliers while ensuring accurate and efficient processing of all finance activity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily banking transactions and complete accurate bank reconciliations

  • Raise tenant invoices and ensure correct allocation of incoming cash

  • Enter accounts payable invoices into the accounting system

  • Prepare and process supplier payments via BACS

  • Liaise directly with clients, tenants and suppliers

  • Manage shared mailbox enquiries and maintain organised filing

  • Complete service charge reconciliations

  • Prepare client statements and remit funds

  • Support VAT reporting

  • Maintain deposit records and apply interest

  • Prioritise workload effectively and work closely with internal teams


About You

  • Previous experience in property finance or property administration is essential

  • Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Confident using Microsoft Excel and accounting/finance systems

  • Experience using property management software (advantageous but not essential)

  • Strong communicator with a professional, client-focused approach

  • Organised, self-motivated and able to use initiative

  • Able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
