Are you a detail-oriented finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We're supporting a leading business in Leicester in recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly and supportive finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in transactional finance or general accounting support who's looking to develop their skills within a growing organisation.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the wider finance function with day-to-day operations. Typical responsibilities include:
Processing purchase and sales invoices
Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts
Assisting with month-end reporting and journals
Maintaining accurate ledgers and supporting cash flow management
Handling queries from internal and external stakeholders
Supporting the Finance Manager and team with ad-hoc finance and administrative tasks
About You
Previous experience in an accounting or finance support role (e.g. Accounts Assistant, Finance Administrator, or Purchase Ledger Clerk)
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Confident using Excel and accounting software (such as Sage, Xero, or NetSuite)
AAT qualification or working towards one would be advantageous but not essential
