Job Description: Accounts Receivable/Accounts Assistant
Location: Corby
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DOE) + Benefits
Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent - Fully office based
Reports to: Management Accountant

We're a tight-knit team, and we're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Accounts Assistant to join our small but efficient finance team of 4.

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Invoicing & Accounts Receivable Management:
- Oversee the invoicing process for commercial accounts, ensuring all invoices are raised accurately and on time.
- Reconcile payments and maintain the Sales Ledger.
- Manage credit control processes, including chasing outstanding debts and keeping aged debtor days within agreed limits.
- Financial Reporting & Forecasting Support:
- Assist in producing weekly and monthly revenue analysis reports.
- Support the forecasting of income and expenditure trends to provide insights for the business.
- Help with variance analysis and ensure financial data is up-to-date and accurate for decision-making.
- System & Process Support:
- Assist with accounting system maintenance, ensuring data accuracy and effective integration with other business systems.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function.
- Compliance & Financial Reporting:
- Support VAT returns and ensure the business is adhering to financial compliance processes.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and ensure all financial reporting is accurate and timely.
- General Financial Support:
- Provide general accounting support, including liaising with customers and suppliers to resolve invoicing or payment issues.
- Assist the Management Accountant with other ad-hoc financial tasks as required.

You will be detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to the team. Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in an accounts receivable, accounts assistant, or finance support role.
- Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
