Senior Accounts Administrator - 12-Month FTC
Location: Loughborough - Care Sector
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum
Contract: 12-month fixed-term (with potential to extend)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
Macildowie is recruiting a Senior Accounts Administrator to join the Finance Team at a care sector organisation in Loughborough. This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the Finance Director with day-to-day financial operations and month-end processes. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across Sage 200, Sage 50 Payroll, and invoicing systems, ensuring all transactions are processed and reconciled efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain sales and purchase ledgers, processing invoices, payments, and receipts accurately.
  • Support month-end processes including journals, prepayments, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Assist with payroll processing, including wage journals and reports.
  • Manage credit control, chasing outstanding debts and liaising with local authorities, NHS partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Reconcile petty cash, bank accounts, and prepaid top-up card statements.
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts and year-end audit processes.
  • Provide cover for shared finance functions, including Accounts inbox and purchasing system support.

About You:

  • Proven experience in accounts administration, with payroll and Sage experience essential.
  • AAT Level 4 qualified or working towards it.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Methodical, accurate, and highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly.
  • Positive, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting the wider team.
