Management Accountant

Macildowie are working with a client based in Leicestershire to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business in the retail industry, offering the chance to play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial information that supports strategic decision-making.

The Role
You will assist the finance leadership with the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing variance commentary, and play a vital role in a dynamic finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis within agreed deadlines
• Post accrual and prepayment journals accurately
• Complete and gain approval for monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Produce monthly management packs and presentations for the board
• Identify and recommend cost savings and efficiency improvements

About You:

• Part Qualified/Finalist/Newly Qualified (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting or finance
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with advanced functions
• Proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business
