Finance Manager - £45,000 to £50,000 per annum
Location: Derbyshire
Type: Full-time, Permanent
An established and growing luxury retail and manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance function from its Derbyshire base.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to join a creative, fast-paced environment, supporting strategic growth and ensuring robust financial control across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure statutory compliance including VAT returns, HMRC submissions, and audit preparation.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash flow.
- Streamline and improve financial systems and reporting processes.
- Manage and mentor a small finance team, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability.
About You:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or QBE with strong experience in a similar role.
- Background in retail, manufacturing, or consumer goods preferred.
- Excellent technical accounting and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Highly proficient in accounting systems and advanced Excel.
- Hands-on, proactive, and organised with strong attention to detail.
Benefits:
- Salary between £45,000 and £50,000 depending on experience.
