Position: Accounts Assistant - Banking
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Office-based (hybrid working may be considered)
Industry: Professional Services / Financial Support

Are you a detail-driven finance professional looking for your next step? We're partnering with a highly reputable business in the professional services sector, offering an exciting opportunity to join their growing finance function as an Accounts Assistant - Banking.

This is a broad and hands-on role that gives you the chance to own key processes within the business - from daily bank reconciliations and credit control, to managing the purchase ledger and helping shape the business's cash flow visibility.

You'll be part of a supportive, collaborative team where your voice is heard and your contribution is valued.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing client credit accounts and supporting collection of overdue payments

  • Carrying out daily bank reconciliations and clearing unreconciled transactions promptly

  • Processing purchase invoices and preparing mid-month and month-end payment runs

  • Liaising with suppliers and resolving invoice issues

  • Reconciling data between the financial system and practice management software

  • Supporting cash flow forecasting with insight into incoming/outgoing payments

  • Producing reports on aged debt, credit risk and customer payment trends

  • Working cross-functionally with finance, billing and operational teams

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in Accounts Payable, Credit Control or Reconciliations

  • Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems

  • Excellent communication skills - confident handling both internal and external queries

  • Someone methodical, proactive, and solution-focused

  • A strong team player who's happy to own their work and get stuck in

Whether you're ready to step up or simply want a new challenge in a well-structured, fast-paced business, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career in finance.
