Credit Controller

💷 Salary: £29,000 per annum
🏢 Hybrid working - 1 day from home (after probation)
Macildowie is working with a well-established and growing business who are looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team.
The Role:
Reporting to the Credit Manager, the successful candidate will take responsibility for two sales ledgers, ensuring outstanding balances are collected efficiently while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing and maintaining two sales ledgers
Proactively chasing outstanding payments via phone and email
Allocating cash and reconciling customer accounts
Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
Producing aged debtor reports and updates for management
Supporting cash flow targets and reducing debtor days
Assisting with other finance duties as required
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience in a Credit Controller role
Confident managing multiple ledgers
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working to deadlines and targets
Good working knowledge of Excel and finance systems
