Payroll Administrator - Retail
Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum
Location: Desford, Leicestershire
Working Pattern: Full-time, fully office based
Our client, a well-established retail business, is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their head office team based in Desford. This role is ideal for a payroll professional with hands-on experience using iTrent and a strong background in high-volume payroll environments.
Key Responsibilities:
End-to-end payroll processing using iTrent for a multi-site retail workforce
Ensuring payroll is processed accurately, compliantly, and on time
Managing starters, leavers, contractual changes, and amendments within iTrent
Processing statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, and deductions
Handling payroll queries from employees and management efficiently
Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and internal payroll procedures
Producing payroll reports and supporting reconciliations as required
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience in a Payroll Administrator role
Strong working knowledge of iTrent payroll system (essential)
Experience working with high-volume or retail payrolls highly desirable
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident user of Microsoft Excel
Professional, approachable, and able to manage confidential information
