Job Title: Finance Analyst
Location: Hybrid - Leicester
We are currently working with a client who is seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a part-qualified or finalist finance professional with strong analytical skills and a desire to influence business performance through insightful financial analysis.
The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, providing high-quality reporting, analysis, and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver regular financial reporting and performance analysis
- Analyse variances against budget and forecast, providing clear commentary
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Build and maintain financial models to support business decisions
- Provide commercial insight to operational and non-finance stakeholders
- Assist with month-end reporting and management accounts preparation
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within financial data
- Support business cases, investment appraisals, and ad-hoc analysis
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting and analysis processes
Candidate Profile
- Studying towards or finalist accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
- Proven experience in a finance analyst, management accounting, or commercial finance role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with financial systems
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and commercially aware
Desirable Experience
- Experience in business partnering or commercial finance environments
- Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
