Accounts Assistant
Kettering

Permanent | 37.5 hours per week
Mainly office based (with potential for 1 day per week from home)


We're working with a growing SME manufacturing business based in Kettering that is looking to add an Accounts Assistant to its small, close-knit finance team.

This is a permanent role offering broad exposure to day-to-day finance in a business that is expanding and investing for the future.

The role

Working closely with the Finance Director and wider team, you'll support the smooth running of the finance function, particularly across transactional accounting and month-end support.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing purchase and sales invoices
  • Managing the purchase and sales ledger
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with month-end tasks
  • Supporting audits and year-end activity
  • General finance admin and ad-hoc duties


What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
  • Comfortable handling day-to-day transactional accounting
  • Good attention to detail and organised approach
  • Confident using finance systems and Excel
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment would be helpful, but not essential
